Local Mobile is the Local.com local-search engine formatted for hand devices. With a database of over 16 million business listings encompassing every zip code across the United States and two million listings covering every postal code in the UK, Local.com provides you with names, phone numbers and addresses of local businesses as well as other helpful information including store hours, related to the business.

2. What type of devices do I need to use it?
Local Mobile will work on WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) enabled mobile phones, PDAs, and wireless devices. Most handheld devices with an Internet browser can access Local Mobile at www.local.com/mobile

5. How can I find a nearby business using Local Mobile?
Type the name or the type of business or service in the "WHAT" box and enter the location in the "WHERE" box. You can enter a city, state, landmark, zip code, or airport code as the geographic location. Unlike other search engines, Local Mobile has the ability to determine your current location, and provide business listings in your local area even if you do not input a specific location in the "WHERE" box.

6. How does Local Mobile decide what listing to show me first?
Our algorithm and proprietary Keyword DNA™ determine which businesses are the most relevant to a specific search request. The most relevant and geographically local businesses are displayed first.

Local Mobile sources its information from national business-to-business list compilers, data obtained by our web crawler, and information supplied by our affiliated partners.

11. Can I add, edit or customize the listing for my business?
Yes. Using LocalPromote which is available for a low monthly fee, merchants have 24-hour editorial access to their own business listing.
